How to Dose and Administer KU SHEN TANG (GAO)
How to Prepare:
Whole Herbs: Decoct the ingredients with about 3 cups (per 100g of herbs) strain off the liquid.
Granules: Dissolve the powder in warm water.
Applications:
[Wash] Wash the affected area with the liquid and allow it to dry.
[Compress] Soak a washcloth in the liquid and apply the moist cloth to the affected area for 10-20 minutes, keeping the compress warm by re-dipping it in the heated liquid. Allow skin to dry between applications.
[Ointment] Mix either granules or ground whole herbs together with sesame oil or petroleum jelly to make ointment. Apply topically as needed.
