How Bupleurum Entangled Qi Works

According to TCM theory, cysts are a result of long term QI stagnation combined with Internal Damp. Cysts of the chest (breasts) appear following long term stagnation of QI of the chest (Liver Qi), often combined with dampness resulting from Spleen QI Deficiency.

  • Prunella (xia ku cao) reduces swelling and has anti-toxic effects.
  • Fritillaria (chuan bei mu) disperses lumps.
  • Cyperus (xiang fu) is anti-spasmodic and relieves pain.
