Acupuncture for ADD & ADHD
Acupuncture can help to calm the disruptive natures of Attention Deficit Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and it can also help to ease the side effects of the medications used to treat Attention Deficit Disorder.
Acupuncture has become popular for children with ADHD. Frequently, auricular (ear) acupuncture is used. Since the ear may be stimulated through noninvasive procedures, it is favored for children.
When body points are used, acupuncture techniques used to treat children are similar to methods used to treat animals. Since neither children nor animals are likely to remain still for very long while receiving acupuncture, needles are inserted and then removed after only a few moments.
