Safety of XIAO HUO LUO DAN
- Do not use for weak or deficient patients
- Do not use for patients with Yin Deficiency Heat
- Contraindicated during pregnancy.
XIAO HUO LUO DAN Dosage and Administration
Tablets: 2 tablets, 2 times daily, or as prescribed
Whole Herbs: CAO WU should be pre-boiled to avoid any possibility of toxicity. Using a container made of ceramic, glass, or stainless steel (no aluminum, iron or copper) boil 1 packet of herbs in 1-2-quarts of water or until 2 cups of medicine remain. Strain herbs; save and refrigerate for a second boiling. Drink 1 cup in the AM. And 1 cup in the PM. If desired, repeat the following day, using the saved herbs from the refrigerator.
Modifying XIAO HUO LUO DAN
- For extreme damp add CANG ZHU and YI YI REN
- For extreme Wind add QIN JIAO and FANG FENG
- For extreme Cold increase CAO WU
- For extreme pain increase MO YAO and RUXIANG
- For accompanying Liver and Kidney Deficiency take with DU HUO SANG JI SHENG
