Indications for Using Pseudostellaria 9
Persistent dryness. Pseudostellaria, known as "prince ginseng",was used in China as a lower cost substitute for panax ginseng. for certain uses, however, it is considered superior to ginseng when heat and dryness caused by yin deficiency are present
Because it is easier to digest than most Yin tonics, it can substitute for Yin tonics when digestive weakness accompanies Yin Deficiency.
Pseudostellaria 9 is similar to SI SHEN TANG ( 4 Shen formula) used for Sjogren's syndrome.
