Ease Plus - Health Concerns
Bupleurum & Calcium Herbal Suppplement
[ IF OUT OF STOCK, SUBSTITUTE CHAI HU JIA MU LI LONG GU PIAN or Smiling Buddha Hi-Potency powder ]
This is formula has been around since the second century AD, and has been used in several different ways. Traditionally it was used to treat problems related to the improper use of purgatives. That is, when purgatives weaken the body, allowing externally contracted pathogens to invade deeply and ultimately lodge in the chest. This creates disharmony with all three YANG channels, causing a fullness in the chest constrains the Liver QI, heats the Heart, and causes discomfort to the SHEN, residing in the Heart.
Today it is used for stress related complaints, particularly those of the stomach, and Liver. CHAI HU JIA MU LI LONG GU WAN* aka Ease Plus by Health Concerns contains the calcium rich minerals LONG GU (fossil bone) and MU LI (oyster shell) which have acid neutralizing properties. In fact, this would be a very expensive way to get an antacid. The herbs are actually in the formula because they Calm the Spirit, and Sedate the Shen. They accompany CHAI HU (bupleurum) to help unbind the QI of the chest and abdomen to relieve stress and possibly improve digestion as well.
* WAN - Pill or Tablet, SAN - Powder or Granule Extract, TANG - Whole Herbs for Decoction, SHUI - Liquid Extract)
