YIN CHAO JIN - Health Concerns
Health Concerns YIN CHIAO JIN is essentially YIN CHIAO SAN with added Isatis (BAN LAN GEN & DA QING YE). Taking these two in combination are an excellent substitute for YIN CHIAO JIN.
The original formula for early stage colds, YIN CHIAO SAN, has dealt a swift end to billions of unwanted colds. Since the formula was first published, circa 1776, it has also undergone many unique augmentations and transformations. Recently, a domestic American manufacturer of Chinese medicine, Health Concerns, has added isatis leaf DA CHING YE, isatis root BAN LAN GEN.
When to NOT Use YIN CHAO JIN
Unlike age-old YIN CHIAO SAN, which is OK for just about anybody to take, YIN CHAO JIN's much colder nature may require practitioners to be more selective about who to prescribe it to, and when to prescribe it.
For example, care should be taken when administering it to patients with cold or YANG Deficient constitutions. People who are prone to diarrhea or loose stool may do better with other versions that might be easier to digest or tolerate.
Like YIN CHIAO SAN, Health Concerns' YIN CHAO JIN supports the care of colds, and sore throats, and, also like YIN CHIAO SAN, may be most valuable when a cold begins as a sore throat.
All YIN CHIAO variations are considered most effective during or prior to the early stages of Wind-Heat conditions presenting as sore throat, slight fever or feverishness, headache, and shallow dryish cough. There may, or may not be chills or sweating. Body aches, sore shoulders, and stiff neck are also common. These particular neck and shoulder symptoms suggest the addition of Pueraria based formulas such as Pueraria 10 or ZHONG GAN LING.
