Adrenosen is a newly created formula combining traditional Chinese herbs with non-traditional substances such as adrenal cortex and PAK. In the context of TCM, and its immense history of use, combinations such as Adrenosen should be considered an experimental approach to Kidney Deficiency.
Adrenosen combines adrenal cortex with Pyridoxal alpha Ketoglutarate, a common ingredient in sports nutrition supplements said to increase endurance. The formula also includes several Chinese herbs, most of which have tonifying properties.
From a Western perspective, Adrenosen is aimed at reducing "adrenal fatigue" by promoting normal adrenal function.
Though the term "adrenal fatigue" does not exist in the TCM vocabulary, the condition closely resembles Kidney Deficiency, an often diagnosed condition which usually includes severe fatigue or exhaustion. It should be noted that the adrenal glands rest atop the Kidneys. When these glands fail to make enough adrenalin, fatigue results.
