Shen Clinic TCM Advice

Also as known as: Eight Jewel Decoction, Decoction of Eight Treasure Ingredients, Eight Precious Ingredients Decoction, Women's Precious Pills

Origin of BA ZHEN TANG

BA ZHEN TANG comes from Cataloged Essentials for Correcting the Body by Zheng Ti Lei Yao.  It was published in 1529 by Bi Li-zhai. Do not confuse this formula with BA ZHENG TANG (Eight Righteous).  The two are vastly different.

What does BA ZHEN TANG do?

Also known as Women's Precious Pills, Ba Zhen Tang is a combination of two base formulas, SI WU TANG to build blood, and SI JUN ZI TANG to build QI.

QI and Blood go together.  QI builds the Blood, and the Blood is the Mother of the QI.  In BA ZHEN TANG, the four Spleen tonics optimize the absorption of the four blood tonics.
