Vagistatin by Health Concerns Has Been Discontinued
Vagistatin is a proprietary formula created by Jake Fratkin, the noted and prolific publisher and TCM practitioner. It has recently been discontinued by its manufacturer, Health Concerns, based in Oakland California.
Vagistatin was designed to help with symptoms such as vaginal discharge, itching, dryness and irritation. Vagistatin was primarily used for Damp Heat conditions in the lower JIAO, usually diagnosed as vaginal yeast infection, or human papilloma virus (HPV).
The Vagistatin capsule was meant to be used both orally or as a vaginal suppository. Suppositories, it should be noted, are not often used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). According to TCM, vaginal yeast infections are signs of Dampness And Heat In The In The Lower Body Cavity (Lower Jiao). Dampness, whether inside the body or anywhere in nature, is an attraction for all life, especially fungi. Yeast, and other infections, are difficult to control in a damp environment. That's why TCM focuses on removing dampness as necessary to clearing fungal and other infections.
Damp conditions can lead to yeast infections with symptom of itching‚ burning‚ and excessive vaginal discharge. If you suffer from frequent yeast infections‚ you may also consider taking Vagistatin plus additional formulas such as WU LING SAN (HC Drain Dampness) to more aggressively dry damp.
