In 1986, after first designing formulas for the original Health Concerns line, Subhuti Dharmananda, a highly regarded herbalist, founded ITM, and the Seven Forests line of herbal medicines. The formulations were originally designed for use in its herbal clinic, and later for TCM practitioners.
In most cases Seven Forests herb tablets are prepared from milled herbs or water extracted concentrates, or both combined. The raw materials are milled into powder and then compressed into 700-800 mg. tablets. The tablets are then spray coated to make them easy to swallow.
